(Machine Piecing Class Only)
3 sessions - $50.00 – with Toni Owens or Charlcie Guthery
Have you ever thought about making a quilt? Maybe you grew up
sleeping under quilts that were made by one of your family members,
your grandmother maybe? But we don’t make quilts like our
grandmothers did. It is so much easier. You may have never really
sewn much, but are you interested in making quilts? Quilt making is
so much more than just learning how to piece quilts. It is joining a
growing community of loving, fun, and a sharing group of people.
There are many places that offer beginning classes, but wouldn’t you
rather be taught by someone who has been trained to teach beginners?
Remember, you do get what you pay for.
There are many who have taught themselves, and that is great, but
not everyone can do that. It is very important that you get a solid
beginning established. If you have had a bad experience in the past,
we want to help you attain the joy that quilters get to experience.
Our class has been designed for the person who knows nothing, but
also can provide helpful hints and tips for those who are looking to
improve their present skills. We start right at the very beginning
by teaching you the correct usage of the rotary cutter and rulers.
You only need to know how to sew a straight stitch, so it does not
matter what your skill level is on the sewing machine or how old
your machine is. Our goal is to keep you from becoming overwhelmed
or intimidated. The class specializes in individual attention and
hands-on. (Notebook required - $20.00 – payable to the teacher)
