 Meet Verlinda Verlinda has been with the shop for nine years and is often called the "Kit Queen." She is responsible for most of the kits found at Oklahoma Quiltworks. Verlinda began quilting about ten years ago, when her oldest grandchild was 3 years old. She took her first lesson in a Bible study class and fell in love with it. Verlinda says she really enjoys picking fabrics to make a new pattern or project have that "just right" look. She has a number of concepts for new designs in the works but is really anxious to start on a new black and white project that she’s been thinking about for a while. Verlinda and her husband Ron have two daughters, Darcy and Krissy. They also have eight grandchildren! The youngsters range from age 1 to 13. They are: Lauren, 13, whom they are raising; Michael, 10; Lindsey, 6; Tristan, 5; Jimmy, 4; Kade and Lizzie, 2; and Conner, 1. When she’s not busy at the shop, or designing new patterns, or keeping up with the grandchildren, Verlinda enjoys reading!
