 Meet
Barbara
Color and fabric. Those elements are what Barbara finds most compelling about quilting. She says she especially enjoys the chance to work across the entire color spectrum. And she brings that pleasure into the projects she designs and teaches at Oklahoma Quiltworks. Barbara began quilting a little more than 10 years ago when her daughter Roxanne was 3 years old. She began by taking a class and has been at it ever since. She’s currently working on a landscape, one in a series she’s been doing. She is also basting a big pineapple quilt that she hopes is finished in time to be a Christmas gift (we hope we’re not ruining a surprise!). In her spare time, Barbara enjoys spending time with her husband Mark and 14-year-old Roxanne. She also gardens, reads and supports the arts in Oklahoma City. And when asked about her favorite recipe, Barbara laughingly says she "avoids the kitchen as much as possible!" |
