Modern Quilt Guild Meetings at Oklahoma Quiltworks

The Modern Quilter is changing the quilt landscape.  It is a style and a personality, and it’s grabbing the interest of a new generation of creative types as well as turning the heads of some established quilters.  Modern is simplicity with a punch.  It is graphic in design, using lots of geometrics, white space, solids, bold color and simple construction.  Modern quilters are casual but complicated.

School House
- a beginner level class –

1 session - $35.00 - with various teachers

“School House” is a term used at Quilt Market for various demos and workshops provided to the attendees. This gives us an idea of how new products work, and what new methods have been developed for teaching. It is a great way to see what is out there without spending days and days looking for new ideas to bring back to our shop. We can use this same approach with our customers by offering you a day of hands on demos and mini-workshops. Here is what to expect during the day.

  1. Bring your sewing machine to try out new techniques – Fabric will be provided if needed.

  2. You will be able to try out a tool to see if you like it before deciding to purchase or not. Lunch is provided.

  3. Handouts will be provided when necessary

  4. Samples of some items will be given

  5. A few of the things that will be offered: Photos on fabric, Transfer EZ, Slice Machine, Let’s Twist, Precision Trimmer, Flying Geese ruler, and many more.

    Saturday, November 13, 9:30 pm – 4:30 pm (#100187773)
