This class is for eleven year olds and up. It is a step up class for
those with previous Kids Quilt Camp experience or equivalent. (They
must be able to sew independently, thread a machine, wind a bobbin,
and sew a straight line.) We will learn about an accurate ¼” seam,
and correct pressing. You take five different fabrics to make each
block, and then the blocks are put together. Pieces need to be cut
before the first class. If there is no one who can do this for the
student, Toni or Charlcie will be glad to, but we will need to have
the fabric at least one week before class begins. We will be using
shop machines unless prior arrangements are made with the teachers.
This is a great way for a beginning quilter to make her own quilt
from fabric choice through each step to completion of a large lap
quilt. Come and create your very own masterpiece!
REQUIREMENT: Fabric must be purchased from Oklahoma Quiltworks
