Something wonderful was discovered at Market that is a real help to quilters who want more experience in machine quilting traditional designs.  Renae Allen came out with a “Skillbuilder Companion” book and preprinted fabric samplers of traditional machine quilting motifs.   The sampler, which is a 40”x36” preprinted panel of 20 quilting designs, allows you to put together a 3 layer sandwich and begin practicing free motion quilting without the work of finding and tracing patterns yourself.  There are over 20 different designs for blocks and borders!  Practice and repetition are everything with machine quilting and this lets you get down to the nitty-gritty almost immediately.  Furthermore, the size allows you to practice handling a larger piece under the machine without it being overwhelming.  Making the class model has been a learning experience for me!  Come prepared to enjoy this exercise with others and have fun! We won’t let our machines cool down!
 
A previous class in machine quilting with some free motion work is a must.
