This class is for eleven years old and up. It
is a step up class for those with previous Kids Quilt Camp
experience, or equivalent. (They must be able to sew independently,
thread a machine, wind a bobbin, and sew a straight line.) We will
learn about an accurate ¼” seam, correct pressing and do some
supervised cutting with a rotary cutter. This quilt is made up of an
hour glass block and plain square. Squares will need to be cut
before class. If there is no one who can do this for the student,
Toni or Charlcie will be glad to, but will have to have the fabric
at least one week before class begins. We will be using shop
machines unless prior arrangements are made with the teachers. This
is a great way for the beginning quilter to make her own quilt from
fabric choice through each step to completion of a large lap quilt.
Come and create your very own masterpiece!
REQUIREMENT: Fabric must be purchased from Oklahoma Quiltworks
