This class is all about machine quilting feathers and don’t think there’s only one kind!  Renae Allen has put together a “Skillbuilder II” preprinted fabric sampler of more than 20 different designs for feathers in blocks and borders.  Feathers are classic in quilting motifs and have a long history in traditional quilts.  They are beautiful and sometimes intimidating.  Mastering smooth curves to the left and the right is the key to their beauty.  This shape has to be laid down in muscle memory so it becomes even and consistent.  As always, repetition is essential.  This practice sampler allows you to do just that and make this a comfortable, habitual movement.  This class is a natural after Skillbuilder I introduces you to feathers at its conclusion.  Join me in getting a grip on those bloomin’ feathers and have some fun along the way.  You’ll be in good company!
