Some quilts are only worth something to the person who possesses the quilt.  But there are some quilts that hold a far greater value.  Especially one that is old and has been handed down through several generations.  If there is any question in your mind about a particular quilt, why don’t you let Donna help determine the value?  Donna Skvarla, an AQS Certified Appraiser and member of the Professional Association of Appraisers of Quilted of Quilted Textiles, will be on hand to provide written appraisals of both vintage and contemporary quilts.  Reasons to have your quilts appraised include:    To include a replacement value for insurance purposes, for protection when the quilt is shipped to quilt shows or to individuals, to determine the value of a donation, gift or estate for the IRS, as a thoughtful addition to a quilt given as a gift, and to find out the value of grandmother’s quilt as a family heirloom.  Appraisals are given for Insurance Value, Fair Market Value and Donation Value.  We do request that you call for an appointment, and pre-payment is required.
